EvO - British Army Communications Network Software

I currently work on a large team of engineers developing the next generation battlefield network infrastructure for the British Army. The program involves hundreds of engineers across multiple locations all working together using a Scaled Agile Framework.

I work on an small agile team as part of the overall project. My team’s focus is on the integration of new and legacy bearers (combat radios and various other networking components) into the new system. We develop software that uses multiple networking standards in order to support the voice, data, and remote monitoring and control capabilities of the various bearers.

The technical aspects of my work involve:
Creating and maintaining high performance C++ applications for ARM and x86_64 Linux devices.
Developing automated tests using Python, Robot Framework and Google Test.
Working on low level networking software.
Integrating and utilizing multiple networking standards. (SNMP, NETCONF, DLEP, DNS)
Maintaining a continuous integration and delivery pipeline using Docker and Jenkins.
Continuously releasing new functionality for rapid end user feedback.
Practicing Agile methodologies on an overall team size of nearly 300 remote and co-located employees.
